Don’t use the wrong cleaning products:

Window Cleaners:  Contain vinegar, which is acidic.  Acid etches or burns the stone surface.
Abrasive Cleaners: They will scratch the stone
Abrasive Sponges:  Scratchy-scratchy

Do use water with neutral PH cleaners.

Do check labels on all cleaners – most will say if they are safe for natural stone.

Do use neutral stone cleaners.

Do use soft cloths when cleaning stone surfaces.

Don’t be afraid:  With proper care, your natural stone surface will last a lifetime.
Your natural stone should last more than a life time when proper care is given.
